A total of 40 Security Unit (Satpam) personnel participated in the Implementation of Work Competency Certification (PSKK), held by the Professional Certification Institute (LSP), Association of Indonesian Security Service Business Entities (Abujapi), located at the Asta Learning Center, PT Asta Nadi Karya Utama, Jalan Gunung Galunggung, Ubung Kaja North Denpasar, Monday (6/24/2024).
The event was opened directly by the Director of Community Development of the Bali Police, Senior Commissioner Arsdo Ever P Simatupang, when interviewed by the media crew, he said that Satpam must have competent certification to carry out their duties.
“In addition to being legal, they must be competent in working, guarding, patrolling and escorting activities, becoming an extension of the police in security,” he explained.
Met at the event location, Director of LSP Satpam Abujapi, Anak Agung Gede Suryawisesa Karang said that this certification activity refers to Police Regulation (Perpol) No. 4 of 2020.
“The security guard profession must be competent, so that an LSP was formed to legalize and improve the capabilities and quality of Satpam, for the first scheme we only have Gada Pratama, Gada Madya, Gada Utama, each of which has 7 competency units that are tested,” he explained. The same thing was conveyed by the Director of Asta Learning Center, Putu Gede Indra, he said, 7 competency abilities that must be possessed by Satpam.
“First, carry out preparation for carrying out tasks, carry out arrangements, carry out guarding, carry out escorts, carry out patrols, carry out security at the scene of the crime, and handle dangerous goods and incidents.”
“This is the initial stage, and the first to be carried out in Bali too. With a pattern of being tested one by one, in writing then practice,” he concluded.
